The hoopoe and it’s song play a part in many stories, across many cultures, in Romania we grew up listening to a story about a boy who loved his naps and a hoopoe who kept waking him up. It turns out catching one is no small feat, maybe even as hard as finding another small boy who loves to nap!
This Bumbu figurine is made of Romanian wood, pure handicrafts, here in Romania. Each product represents a unique piece, designed with love and care. It is sanded, painted and oiled with water-based paints and organic oils.
